PET (polyethylene): commonly used for bottled water bottles, mineral water bottles, carbonated beverage bottles, etc. The maximum heat resistance is 65 ℃, and the cold resistance is -20 ℃. It is prone to deformation when exposed to high temperature liquids or heating, and may dissolve harmful substances to the human body.
HDPE (High Density Polyethylene): Used for containers and supermarket packaging bags for cleaning and bathing products. Heat resistant to 110 ℃, but not recommended for food packaging. Containers are often opaque and feel like wax.
PVC (polyvinyl chloride): commonly used for water pipes, raincoats, building materials, and plastic boxes, but rarely used for food packaging. Do not use high temperature, grease, or heat.
LDPE (Low Density Polyethylene): commonly used in cling film, plastic bags, etc. The heat resistance is not strong, and hot melting occurs at 110 ℃. Harmful substances may be produced at high temperatures, so cling film should not be heated in a microwave oven.
PP (polypropylene): used for microwave lunch boxes, juice beverage bottles, and mouthcups. Resistant to high temperatures of 130 ℃ and with a melting point of up to 167 ℃, it is the only plastic product that can be placed in a microwave oven. Poor transparency, reusable.
PS (polystyrene): used for bowl shaped instant noodle boxes, foam fast food boxes, etc. It is both heat-resistant and cold resistant, but cannot be used to heat food in a microwave oven. After adding acidic (such as orange juice) and alkaline substances, carcinogenic substances will be decomposed.
Other plastics: represents all plastics except 1-6, commonly labeled as PC and other, which are further divided into Tritan and PPSU.
